Overview

The nVent MKD series offers a compact, double-door floor-standing enclosure designed for efficient space utilization. With dimensions of 1200x1200x400 mm, this mild steel enclosure (SKU: MKD12124PER5) is ideal for installations where a single door would impede access. The double-door design distributes the load capacity over two doors, enhancing usability and accessibility. Constructed from 1.35 mm painted steel for the body and 1.5 mm for rear and roof panels, with 2 mm painted steel doors, it ensures robust protection. The mounting plate is 3 mm galvanized steel, and bottom plates are 1 mm galvanized steel. The body features a four-times folded, seam-welded frame with integrated depth profiles for adjustable mounting plate positioning. Doors are mounted on four hinges and include a door frame with a 25 mm hole pattern. This enclosure achieves an IP55 protection degree, safeguarding internal components from dust and water ingress, making it suitable for a variety of industrial applications. It also meets Type 12, 13, and IK 10 standards. The enclosure is finished with a RAL 7035 structured powder coating. All panels are earthed through their fittings and equipped with a separate earthing stud. Delivery includes the body with a fitted door, rear panel, roof panel, bottom plates, mounting plate, and door frame. The enclosure is delivered on a pallet.

  • Mounting plate: Double folded and slides into position. Adjustable in depth by steps of 25 mm, with the MPD02 accessory. Supplied, attached on the outside of the enclosure packaging.
  • Earthing: All panels are earthed through their fittings and are equipped with a separate earthing stud.
  • Finish: RAL 7035 structured powder coating.
