How to Install the MHB110446G400 Air Conditioner

Follow these instructions to properly install and test your MHB110446G400 air conditioner unit.

Estimated time: 30m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting gasket kit, Mounting bolts and screws

  1. Inspect and Test Unit

Inspect the air conditioner for any shipping damage. If the unit has been in a horizontal position, let it stand upright for at least 5 minutes before testing. Test the unit by connecting the power cord to a properly grounded power supply. Ensure the condenser blower, evaporator blower, and compressor are running, and that condenser air is warmer than room temperature within a few minutes. Refer to the nameplate for specific electrical requirements. Minimum circuit ampacity should be at least 125% of the amperage shown in the design data section for your model. Do not connect other equipment to this circuit.

  2. Prepare Enclosure Openings

Using the cutout dimensions provided in this manual or from the template on the shipping carton, prepare the air 'IN' and air 'OUT' openings, and the mounting bolt hole pattern on the enclosure.

  3. Apply Mounting Gasket

Install the provided mounting gasket to the back of the air conditioner according to the illustration in this manual for proper location.

  4. Mount the Air Conditioner

Mount the air conditioner onto the enclosure using the provided mounting bolts and screws. "EZ" mount tabs can assist in holding the unit in place during mounting. Ensure the unit remains upright during operation.

  5. Connect Power Supply

Refer to the top of the nameplate for electrical requirements. Connect the power cord to a properly grounded power supply. Use of an extension cord is not recommended. The electrical circuit should be fused with a slow blow or HACR circuit breaker.
