This guide provides detailed instructions for mounting the MCU3088R5 control unit and its associated bayed components, including precise torque specifications for secure installation. It covers gasket preparation and primary unit fixation, as well as optional bayed component installation.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
T30 Torx bit, SW10 Socket wrench, SW13 Socket wrench, T25 Torx bit, Torque wrench
Supplies needed:
M12x20 screws, M12 nuts, M8 nuts, M8x16 screws, M6x12 screws, M5x10 screws, Gasket, CCI06 brackets (optional, ordered separately), CNT05 fixation kit (optional, ordered separately)
- Prepare the Gasket and MCU Unit
Before mounting, ensure the gasket is correctly positioned. Fix the gasket outside the corner holes of the MCU unit. This is crucial for proper sealing and protection of the unit.
- Mount the Main MCU Unit to the Panel or Frame
Mount the main MCU unit using the appropriate fasteners as indicated in the diagrams. For M12 connections (e.g., A, B), apply a torque of 15-20Nm. For M8 connections (e.g., C, D, E), apply a torque of 10-15Nm. For M6 connections (e.g., F), apply a torque of 8-10Nm. Utilize T30, SW10, and SW13 tools for these fasteners to ensure secure attachment to the mounting surface.
- Install Bayed Variants or CCI06 Brackets
For MCU units wider than 1000mm or when installing bayed variants and CCI06 brackets (which must be ordered separately), secure them using M5x10 screws (H), M6x12 screws (F), and M6 nuts (J) with components K and L. Apply a torque of 4-5Nm for all these fasteners. Use a T25 tool for these connections to ensure secure attachment of the additional components.
