How to Install the MCU3048R5 Unit

This guide provides instructions for mounting and securing the MCU3048R5 unit, including main fixation and optional baying or alternative mounting methods. Ensure all fasteners are tightened to the specified torque values for secure installation.

Tools needed:

Torque wrench (for various Nm settings), Wrenches/sockets (for M12, M8, M6, M5 fasteners), Screwdriver (T25, T30, for 4.5x8 screws)

Supplies needed:

M12x20 screws (4 pcs), M12 nuts (4 pcs), M8 nuts (4 pcs), M8 washers (4 pcs), M8x16 screws (4 pcs), 4.5x8 screws (6 pcs), M5x10 screws (6 pcs, for MCU ">=" 1000 wide), M6x12 screws (4 pcs, for MCU ">=" 1000 wide), M6 nuts (4 pcs, for MCU ">=" 1000 wide), Gasket, CCI06 brackets (if baying, ordered separately), CNT05 fixation kit (if using alternative fixation, ordered separately)

  1. Prepare for Installation

    Gather all required tools and supplies as listed. Ensure you have the correct torque wrenches and fasteners for the specific MCU model and mounting method. Identify the intended mounting location for the MCU3048R5 unit.

  2. Mount the MCU Unit with Main Fixation

    Position the MCU3048R5 unit in the desired location. Secure the unit using the M12x20 screws (A) and M12 nuts (B), applying a torque of 10-15Nm. Further secure the unit with M8 nuts (C) and M8 washers (D), applying a torque of 8-10Nm. Install the M8x16 screws (E), tightening them to a torque of 15-20Nm. Attach any remaining components using the 4.5x8 screws (G) as indicated in the diagrams.

  3. Install Gasket and Baying Components (if applicable)

    Carefully fix the gasket outside the corner holes of the MCU unit. If installing an MCU unit that is 1000mm wide or greater, or baying multiple units, use the M5x10 screws (H), M6x12 screws (F), M6 nuts (J), and components K and L. Tighten these fasteners to a torque of 4-5Nm. If using CCI06 brackets for baying, install them according to their separate instructions.

  4. Apply Alternative Fixation (Optional)

    If using the CNT05 alternative fixation kit (to be ordered separately), position the CNT05 brackets as shown in the diagrams. Secure the CNT05 brackets using the 4.5x8 screws. Tighten these screws to a torque of 4.5-5Nm.
