The nVent MCS14085R5 Modular Single Door Enclosure (SKU: MCS14085R5) is a floor-standing, mild steel enclosure designed for industrial environments requiring robust protection of electrical and electronic components. Measuring 1400x800x500mm, this enclosure provides ample internal space for complex installations while ensuring durability through its 1.5mm painted steel frame, 2mm painted steel door, and 1.5mm painted steel rear, roof, and side panels. The enclosure features a seam-welded reversed open profile frame with a 25mm hole pattern (DIN 43660 compliant) and an integrated external hole pattern for enhanced mounting flexibility. Security is ensured via a 4-point Espagnolette locking system with a standard double-bit lock and 3mm insert, mounted on four hinges for left or right-hand opening. The door frame includes a 25mm hole pattern for additional mounting points. The enclosure includes a 3mm galvanized steel mounting plate (adjustable in 25mm steps with MPD02 accessory) and a one-piece bottom plate with an injected polyurethane gasket for maximum sealing against dust and water ingress (IP66, Type 4, IK10). All panels are earthed for safety and system integrity. Ideal for control systems, power distribution, automation, and telecommunications, the MCS range is combinable with other MCS units for scalable solutions.
  • Material: Frame: 1.5 mm painted steel. Door: 2 mm painted steel. Rear, roof and side panels: 1.5 mm painted steel. Mounting plate: 3 mm galvanized steel. Bottom plates: 1 mm galvanized steel.

  • Rear panel: Fitted by M6 torx screws. Standard facilities for rear door mounting. RD version comes with rear door instead of rear panel.
  • Side panels: Supplied as an accessory.
  • Roof panel: Removable.
  • Lock: Espagnolette 4-point locking system. Does not interfere with the enclosure inner space. Standard double-bit lock with 3 mm insert. Standard inserts, cylinders, lift handles and T-handles are available as accessories.
  • Bottom plates: Consists of three or four (D>600) pieces.
  • Mounting plate: Double folded and slides into position. Adjustable in depth by steps of 25 mm, with the MPD02 accessory. Supplied, attached on the outside of the enclosure packaging.
  • Earthing: All panels are earthed through their fittings and are equipped with a separate earthing stud.
