The nVent KBAU01MXSWSLE is a robust ATEX-certified cable gland engineered for armored cable entry into hazardous locations. It meets stringent international standards including IEC/EN 60079-0, IEC/EN 60079-1 (Ex d), IEC/EN 60079-7 (Ex e), and IEC/EN 60079-31 (Ex tb), ensuring compliance for Zone 1, 2, 21, and 22 environments. The M16x1.5 threaded gland provides superior IP66/68 ingress protection against dust and water ingress. Key features include a three-level removable seal system for flexible cable clamping and a silicone seal rated for an extensive operating temperature range of -60°C to 130°C. Each kit includes a chloroprene washer, locknut, and earth tag for simplified installation. This product holds UL Listing No. E474828 and ATEX Certificate No. CESI 13 ATEX 033X / IECEx CES 13.0013X, guaranteeing reliable performance and safety in critical applications.
  • Suitable for SWA (steel wire armored), AWA (aluminum wire armored), SWB (steel wire braid), STA (steel tape armored), & shielded cable in flameproof (ex d), increased safety (ex e) and dust (ex tb) applications
  • Allow for double sealing of cable and jacket with upper and lower seals
  • The swivel retainer and grounding cone are adhered to the gland body by the o-rings to prevent any loose parts; to remove, simply pull these components slightly to detach
  • All metric thread cable glands are packaged as kits and includes a chloroprene washer, locknut and earthtag
  • All NPT thread cable glands are packaged as kits. Each kit includes a locknut and earthtag (except for NPT 3/8-in. cable glands which do not include locknut and earthtag)
  • Available in Metric (M) and NPT (N) thread type
  • Operating temperature from -40 C to 100 C with chloroprene seal and -60 C to 130 C with silicon seal
