How to Install the HF1348413 Filter Fan
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the HF1348413 filter fan into an enclosure, including cutting, mounting, and wiring.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cutout template
- Prepare the enclosure
Apply the cutout template to the desired location on the side of the enclosure. Ensure it is level and properly aligned.
- Cut the opening
Using the appropriate drill bit, cut out the hole in the enclosure as specified for the HF1348413 model. Deburr the edges to avoid sharp surfaces.
- Insert the filter fan
Insert the filter fan into the cutout until all four corners snap and lock into place. If the enclosure material is thicker than 0.14 inches (3.5 mm), proceed to install mounting fasteners.
- Install mounting fasteners
If required, remove the grille by pulling it from the top at a 45° angle, then from the bottom. Drill out the mounting holes in the filter housing if necessary and secure the fan with fasteners, torquing them to 20-25 in-lbs (2.3-2.8 Nm).
- Wire the filter fan
Follow the wiring diagrams provided in the manual to connect the filter fan to the power supply. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.
- Verify clearance
Ensure that the installed filter fan has a minimum clearance of 7.00 inches (178 mm) from any obstruction to allow for proper airflow.
