How to Install the Side-Mount Filter Fans and Grilles
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing side-mount filter fans and grilles in an enclosure.

Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cutout template
- Prepare the enclosure
Apply the cutout template to the desired location on the side of the enclosure. Ensure that all internal components are clear of the cutting area to avoid damage.
- Cut the opening
Cut out the hole in the enclosure using the appropriate size for the model purchased. Deburr the cutting edge to ensure a smooth finish.
- Install the fan or grille
Insert the fan or grille into the opening and push until all four corners snap and lock into place. If necessary, use mounting fasteners based on the thickness of the enclosure material.
- Wire the filter fan
Follow the wiring diagrams provided in the manual for the appropriate model. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.
- Verify installation
Check that the installed filter fan has a minimum clearance of 7.00 inches (178 mm) from any obstruction to ensure proper airflow.
