Supplies needed:
20-foot roll of EDPM strip gasket, Isopropyl alcohol
- Prepare the enclosure
Clean the surface of the enclosure where the gasket will be applied using a clean, dry cotton rag and a small amount of isopropyl alcohol to ensure proper adhesion.
- Measure and cut the gasket
Measure the perimeter of the door and cut the gasket to the required length, ensuring that splices occur only at the corners.
- Apply the gasket
Press the gasket firmly onto the cleaned surface of the enclosure, ensuring it is level and securely attached to maintain the enclosure's rating.
