How to Install the G28 Air Conditioner
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the G28 Air Conditioner, ensuring proper setup and functionality.

Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Mounting gasket
- Inspect the air conditioner
Check for any visible damage and ensure the unit is functioning properly before installation. Do not operate the unit if it has been in a horizontal position; allow it to stand upright for at least five minutes.
- Prepare the mounting area
Apply the mounting gasket to the air conditioner to ensure a watertight seal. Carefully position the air conditioner on the enclosure without dragging it to avoid damaging the gasket.
- Secure the air conditioner
Using mounting screws, attach the air conditioner to the enclosure. Start the screws by hand to prevent cross-threading, then tighten them with a wrench or ratchet driver.
- Connect the power supply
Wire the air conditioner to a properly grounded power supply according to the nameplate specifications. Ensure that the circuit is fused with a slow-blow or HACR circuit breaker.
- Wire the thermostat
If required, connect the remote thermostat outputs to the appropriate terminals on the 24 VAC terminal strip, following the wiring diagram provided.
- Set the thermostat
Adjust the thermostat to the desired cabinet temperature, ensuring it is set above 70°F to prevent coil freeze-ups.
- Test the air conditioner
Power on the unit and verify that the evaporator blower starts running. Allow the compressor to operate for 5 to 10 minutes and check that the condenser air temperature rises.
