How to Install the G28 Air Conditioner
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the G28 air conditioner, including mounting, wiring, and initial setup.

Screwdriver, Wrench, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Gasket kit, Wire connectors
- Inspect the air conditioner
Check the air conditioner for any visible damage and verify functionality before installation. Ensure it has been upright for at least five minutes if previously horizontal.
- Install the mounting gasket
Using the provided gasket kit, attach gaskets to the air conditioner to ensure a watertight seal.
- Mount the air conditioner
Securely mount the air conditioner to the enclosure, ensuring not to damage the gasket. Start bolts by hand to avoid cross-threading before tightening with a wrench.
- Wire the power supply
Refer to the nameplate for electrical requirements and wire the unit to a properly grounded power supply. Ensure the circuit is fused with a slow-blow or HACR circuit breaker.
- Connect the thermostat
If required, wire the remote thermostat outputs to the appropriate terminals on the 24 VAC terminal strip, following the correct wiring diagram.
- Set the thermostat
Adjust the thermostat to the desired cabinet temperature, ensuring it is set above 70°F to prevent coil freeze-ups.
- Test the air conditioner
Power on the unit and verify that the evaporator blower starts running. Check the phase monitor light to ensure correct phasing.
