Twin-70 raceway base, 10 foot length. Supplied with pre-punched mounting holes. 2' of cover needed for every 1' of Twin-70 base. How to Install the Lay-In Wireway
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and sealing a Lay-In Wireway for effective cable management.
Estimated time: 1h
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Drill, Wrench
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Gaskets, Nuts, Seal plates
- Assemble the wireway sections
Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the installation details.
- Seal the joints
For joints between lay-in sections, position the LSGQR fitting and install it with a shoulder bolt, ensuring the gaskets are visible from above. Rotate the cam to lock the position.
- Install the box entry
Make a cutout in the enclosure for the wireway entry. Position the box connector and gasket inside the enclosure, then install a 90° angle sealing plate to secure the connection.
- Adjust the telescope fitting
Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting. Insert the fitting into the straight section and adjust to the desired length, ensuring the gasket is properly positioned.
- Anchor the telescope fitting
If the telescope fitting is used vertically, drill .25 inch diameter holes through the fitting and straight section. Install .25−20x.5 screws and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.
- Calibrate the wireway
After installation, verify all connections are tight and ensure that the wireway is properly grounded if used for grounding continuity.
