How to Install the Feed-Through Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Feed-Through Wireway, ensuring proper assembly and connection.

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Terminal connectors, Lockwashers, Cap nuts

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

    Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the assembly details.

  2. Install the telescope fitting

    Assemble the parts of the telescope fitting in the correct order, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length. Ensure the gasket is properly positioned against the flange.

  3. Anchor the telescope fitting

    Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides of the straight section and telescope fitting. Install .25−20x.5 screws through the holes from the outside and secure with cap nuts and lockwashers.

  4. Cut the wireway to length

    Cut the wireway body to the desired length, ensuring a square cut. Weld an extra flange to the body and grind off any sharp edges.

  5. Install the swivel nipple

    Position the wireway section, flange gasket, swivel ring, and swivel nipple in the correct order. Secure with screws and nuts, ensuring all components are tightly fitted.

  6. Make box entries

    Cut out the necessary openings in the enclosure for the box connector. Position the connector and gasket inside the enclosure, and ensure proper alignment with the wireway section.

  7. Verify grounding continuity

    If the wireway is to be used for grounding, ensure that grounding continuity is maintained across all fittings and connections.
