How to Install the Lay-In Wireway

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Lay-In Wireway for effective cable management.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Wrench

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Gaskets, Terminal connectors, Nuts, Lockwashers

  1. Assemble the wireway sections

Place a gasket between the flanges of the wireway sections and secure them using screws and nuts as shown in the installation details.

  2. Seal the joints

After installing the wires, seal each joint between sections using either the LSGQR fitting or the 90° angle sealing plate, ensuring that gaskets are visible and properly positioned.

  3. Install box entries

Make a cutout in the control enclosure for the wireway entry, position the box connector and gasket inside, and install the sealing plate as described.

  4. Adjust telescope fitting

Assemble the compression ring, gasket, and retainer on the telescope fitting, insert it into the straight section, and adjust to the desired length.

  5. Anchor telescope fitting

Drill .25 inch diameter holes through the sides and bottom of the straight section and telescope fitting, then install .25−20 screws with cap nuts and lockwashers to secure it.

  6. Calibrate and verify installation

Ensure that all screws are tightened and that the wireway is level and securely mounted. Use a multimeter to check for grounding continuity if applicable.
