Its smooth, low-gloss black finish (RAL 9005) ensures integrity in harsh conditions. Designed for increased safety in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous locations, it meets ATEX DIRECTIVE 94/9/EC (ATEX TUV 13 ATEX120808U) and IECEx (IECEx TUV 13.0001U) certifications for Ex eb IIC Gb and Ex tb IIIC Db classifications. The enclosure boasts an IP 66 rating, along with NEMA Type 4, 4X, and 12 ratings, guaranteeing defense against dust, water ingress, and chemical exposure. Key features include a compression-moulded polyester body and cover, a retained continuous silicone gasket within a labyrinth seal, and an operating temperature range of -50 °C to +100 °C. It is UL 94 V-0 rated for flammability. Mounting provisions are outside the gasketed area, suitable for panel- or DIN-rail mounted components. Note: This is not an explosion-proof enclosure. A mounting plate is available separately. Ideal for oil and gas, chemical processing, and heavy industries.
