Overview

The nVent ZonEx Non-Metallic Terminal Enclosure (SKU: EXE26016090) offers robust protection for electrical components in hazardous locations. Constructed from compression-molded, glass fiber reinforced polyester, this enclosure provides high impact strength and resistance to UV degradation. Its dimensions are 160x260x90mm, finished in a low-gloss black (RAL 9005). The retained, continuous high-temperature silicone gasket ensures IP66, Type 4, 4X, and 12 protection, safeguarding against dust and water ingress. With an operating temperature range of -50°C to +100°C and a UL 94 V-0 flammability rating, it is suitable for extreme environments. Certified to ATEX Directives and IECEx standards (Ex eb IIC Gb, Ex tb IIIC Db), it meets stringent safety requirements for increased safety and dust ignition protection in Zone 1 and Zone 2 areas. The enclosure features covered mounting screw provisions outside the gasketed area and supports both panel and DIN rail mounting. Ideal for field terminations in petrochemical plants, water treatment facilities, and mining operations, where non-metallic construction eliminates sparking risk. Note: This enclosure is not intended for explosion-proof (Ex d) applications. Mounting plates are available separately.
