Overview

The nVent EJB Series Aluminum Ex d Junction Box (SKU: EJB3A) is a certified enclosure for hazardous locations, measuring 364x284x278mm. It is rated for Zone 1, 2, 21, and 22, meeting ATEX and IECEx standards. Constructed from a low-copper aluminum alloy with stainless steel bolts and screws, it offers excellent corrosion resistance. The enclosure features a high-temperature-resistant silicone gasket, ensuring an IP66/IP67 rating against dust and water ingress. It includes electrogalvanized steel mounting brackets and an epoxy coating in RAL 7035 (Light Grey). The aluminum alloy has passed EN 60068-2-30 (hot/humid cycles) and EN 60068-2-11 (salt mist tests). An internal mounting panel is included for equipment installation. This junction box can serve as a standard junction box or house electrical equipment like circuit breakers, signaling devices, disconnectors, remote control switches, and transformers. nVent HOFFMAN can drill and thread the body and cover to customer specifications. Optional accessories include hazardous location breather drains and window kits, as well as internal anti-condensation coatings and custom external epoxy colors.
