Overview

The nVent HOFFMAN EBU4NXSLE is a 316L stainless steel cable gland designed for non-armored cables in hazardous locations, specifically for Ex d/e/tb applications. Certified to ATEX and IECEx standards, it is suitable for Zone 1, 2, 21, and 22 environments, offering IP66/68 ingress protection against dust and water. This gland features a 1 1/4" NPT thread and a wide clamping range achieved through three levels of removable seals, accommodating various cable diameters without needing multiple gland sizes. Its silicone seal ensures operation across an extreme temperature range of -60°C to 130°C (-76°F to 266°F), providing corrosion resistance and durability. The EBU4NXSLE is also UL2225 and CSA certified for North American installations, including Class I, Zone 1, AEx e IIC. Additional approvals from EAC, INMETRO, and DNV-GL expand its global applicability. Each gland is supplied as a kit with a locknut and earth tag for grounding continuity, simplifying installation and ensuring reliable cable entry into hazardous location enclosures.
