How to Install the EA9105 Temperature & Humidity Sensor
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the EA9105 Temperature & Humidity Sensor, ensuring accurate environmental monitoring.
Estimated time: 30m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers
Supplies needed:
Cable ties (6 count), Standard Ethernet Extension Cable (1.8m), RJ45 Quick Disconnect Coupler
- Secure the sensor box
Thread a cable tie through the recessed channel in the sensor box and through the perforated rack enclosure door to secure the sensor box in place.
- Attach the RJ45 cable
Use the remaining cable ties to secure the RJ45 cable along the desired path to the PDU, ensuring it is neatly organized.
- Install additional temperature probes
For the EA9105 model, secure the two additional temperature probes near the top and bottom of the perforated rack enclosure door using cable ties.
- Connect the sensor cable
Plug the sensor cable or the connected Ethernet cable into the Sensor 1 or Sensor 2 port on the PDU or Inline Energy Meter. Wait 1-3 minutes for the PDU to recognize the sensor.
