Crossover cable or hub
- Connect the SMART unit
Connect the Hoffman SMART device to your computer using a crossover cable or a hub. Ensure the connection is secure.
- Configure network settings
On your computer, navigate to 'Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network and Dial Up Connections'. Right-click on 'Local Area Connection' and select 'Properties'.
- Set IP address
Select 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' and click 'Properties'. Choose 'Use the following IP address' and enter the following: IP address: 192.168.123.1, Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0, Default gateway: (Leave Blank). Click 'OK' twice.
- Access the unit
Open your web browser and enter the IP address 192.168.123.123 to access the unit. Verify that the Sensors page appears.
- Configure unit settings
Navigate to the Configuration page in the web interface. Enter your desired network settings and click 'Save Changes'. The unit will reboot automatically.
