How to Install the DAHHL300AC Heater
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and wiring the DAHHL300AC heater in hazardous locations.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors
- Mount the heater
Secure the heater to the unistrut using the four M6 bolts provided in the mounting kit. Ensure the fins are positioned vertically for effective convection.
- Connect the wiring
Install the connection cable into the customer-supplied junction box, ensuring to observe the permissible bending radius of 5 times the outside cable diameter. Use a cable gland or ½ NPT conduit as required.
- Ground the heater
Connect the ground terminal to ensure potential equalization. Use a suitable circuit breaker for protection, and ensure compliance with local electrical codes.
- Power on the heater
Once all connections are secure, turn on the heater. Be aware that the startup current may be 3 to 5 times greater than the nominal current for the first few seconds.
- Verify operation
Use a multimeter to check the voltage and current to ensure they are within the specified limits. Monitor the heater for proper operation.
