Overview

The nVent Concept Swing-Out Panel (SKU: CSPB3636) is a high-performance, white steel panel designed for front flange mounting in industrial enclosures. Engineered for seamless access to internal equipment, this swing-out panel provides unparalleled convenience and efficiency in maintenance and installation workflows. With a maximum swing of 94 degrees, the CSPB3636 ensures clear access to mounted components while maintaining structural integrity and security when latched. The panel’s 1.71-inch (43 mm) clearance from the enclosure surface when latched accommodates solid doors, while windowed variants offer a reduced 1.45-inch (37 mm) clearance for enhanced visibility and airflow. This Concept Series panel is part of nVent’s trusted line of enclosure solutions, known for durability, precision engineering, and compliance with industrial standards. The CSPB3636 is ideal for applications requiring frequent access to electrical, automation, or control systems housed within enclosures. Common use cases include manufacturing plants, data centers, telecommunications facilities, and commercial buildings where operational uptime and accessibility are critical. Key features of the CSPB3636 include: - **Front flange mounting** for secure attachment to enclosures, ensuring stability and alignment. - **Steel construction** for superior strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term performance in demanding environments. - **Adjustable mounting options** via front-to-back adjustable rails, allowing for precise positioning and compatibility with various enclosure depths. - **Compatibility with CSPBADB adapter** for enhanced flexibility in front-to-back adjustments, making it a versatile choice for retrofits and new installations. - **White finish** for improved visibility in low-light conditions and compliance with aesthetic standards in controlled environments. Professionals in industrial, electrical, and automation sectors rely on nVent’s Concept Series for its reliability and ease of integration. The swing-out design eliminates the need to remove panels entirely, reducing downtime during inspections, repairs, or upgrades. Whether used in control panels, distribution boards, or custom enclosures, the CSPB3636 delivers a balance of functionality, durability, and operational efficiency. Trusted by engineers and facility managers worldwide, nVent’s products are backed by decades of innovation and a commitment to quality, making the CSPB3636 a smart investment for any enclosure system requiring accessible, secure, and high-performance access solutions.

How to Install the CSPB3636 Wall-Mount Enclosure

Installation guide for mounting and wiring the CSPB3636 wall-mount enclosure.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Drill, Level, Screwdriver, Measuring tape, Pencil

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Wall anchors (if needed), Gasket (if applicable)

  1. Select Mounting Location

Choose a suitable location for the CSPB3636 enclosure. Ensure the location is accessible, protected from extreme environmental conditions, and has adequate space for installation and maintenance. Refer to the datasheet for specific environmental and clearance requirements.

  2. Prepare Mounting Surface

Using a level and measuring tape, mark the desired mounting points on the wall. Ensure the marks are level and spaced correctly according to the enclosure's mounting hole pattern. If mounting on drywall or a surface that cannot support the enclosure's weight, use appropriate wall anchors.

  3. Mount the Enclosure

Hold the CSPB3636 enclosure against the wall, aligning the mounting holes with the marked points or anchors. Secure the enclosure to the wall using appropriate mounting screws. Ensure the enclosure is firmly attached and level. For enclosures requiring a gasket, ensure it is properly installed before closing the door.

  4. Wire the Enclosure

Open the enclosure door and route any necessary wiring through the designated conduit knockouts or glands. Connect the internal components according to the wiring diagrams provided in the product manual. Ensure all connections are secure and comply with electrical codes. Refer to the nameplate or datasheet for specific electrical ratings and connection details.

  5. Final Inspection and Closure

Verify all wiring is correct and secure. Ensure no tools or debris are left inside the enclosure. Close and latch the enclosure door securely. If applicable, install any locking mechanisms.
