Overview

The nVent CED40 Double Protection Gland (SKU: CED40) is a tool-free cable entry solution designed for industrial applications requiring robust environmental sealing. Featuring an M40 entry size, this gland maintains the enclosure's protection degree by creating a secure barrier against dust and moisture ingress. Its self-adjusting, two-component grommet with a membrane seal ensures a watertight seal until penetrated by a cable or pipe. The compact design extends only 5.7 mm outside the enclosure. Constructed from TPE and halogen-free polyamide 66, it offers temperature resistance from -20 ºC to +125 ºC and a RAL 7035 finish. The CED40 provides IP67 and IP65 protection, making it suitable for demanding environments in manufacturing, automation, renewable energy, and telecommunications sectors. Installation is simplified with a click-fix mechanism, suitable for wall thicknesses of 0.7 to 3 mm.
