Overview

The nVent CAM164 adjustable-depth mounting kit provides precise internal component placement in 16-inch deep CONCEPT enclosures. Engineered for flexibility, this plated steel kit includes four slide mechanisms and hardware to mount panels, swing-out panels, DIN rails, rack angles, mounting channels, or grid straps at any depth from front to rear. Use two CAM164 kits when the enclosure features six collar studs for panel mounting to ensure secure and stable installation. The kit’s adjustable-depth feature allows customization of mounting positions, optimizing space utilization and component organization. Compatible with CONCEPT enclosures sized for 16.00 inches (406 mm) depth, the CAM164 is constructed from durable plated steel for corrosion resistance and long-term reliability. Note: This kit is not compatible with Dead Front Panels or Swing-Out Rack Frames. For additional mounting flexibility, pair with nVent mounting channels (e.g., CMC16) to support DIN rails and grid straps at various positions within the enclosure.

How to Install the CAM164 Adjustable Mounting Kit

Instructions for installing the CAM164 adjustable mounting kit for enclosures.

Tools needed:

Torque wrench, Socket wrench

Supplies needed:

M8x30 bolts, M8 washers

  1. Attach Brackets to Enclosure

    Attach two (2x) brackets (1) to the enclosure using M8x30 bolts (6) and M8 washers (7). Tighten to 99 in-lbs (11 Nm).

  2. Install Studs

    Insert four (4x) studs (5) into the brackets (1). Ensure they are fully seated.

  3. Attach Mounting Bars

    Attach two (2x) mounting bars (2) to the studs (5) using M8 nuts (3) and M8 washers (4). Ensure the bars are oriented correctly for your enclosure.

  4. Secure Mounting Bars

    Tighten the M8 nuts (3) to secure the mounting bars (2) to the studs (5). Verify that the bars are firmly attached and do not move.
