Overview

The nVent CABP1000 Outside Cable Fixing Bar (SKU: CABP1000) is a zinc-plated mild steel bar measuring 45x1000x36mm, designed for external cable management in floor-standing industrial enclosures. Its primary function is to secure incoming cables using standard nVent CAC cable clamps (sold separately), which support cable diameters ranging from 6-12mm up to 58-64mm. The bar is suspended below the enclosure’s bottom plate, maximizing internal space for airflow and component access. Constructed from 2mm zinc-plated steel, the CABP1000 provides corrosion resistance and structural support to hold cables in position while supporting their weight. This prevents external strains from damaging sensitive internal equipment. The bar is fully adjustable in depth and maintains EMC shielding integrity when earthing cables are connected, preserving the Faraday effect for maximum EMI protection. Common applications include industrial automation panels, power distribution systems, telecommunications equipment, and data centers. The CABP1000 integrates with nVent’s cable management ecosystem, including compatible CAC clamps and split bottom plates (CBPS) for stainless steel enclosures.
