The nVent HOFFMAN ZonEx ATEX484820SS61 enclosure offers superior protection in Zone 1 and 2 hazardous locations. Constructed from Type 316 stainless steel with a #4 brushed finish, it provides exceptional corrosion resistance. This enclosure meets ATEX Directive 2014/35/EU, IECEx, and AEx standards, ensuring compliance for explosive atmospheres (not for Ex d applications). Its dimensions are 480x480x205mm, with Type 4X and IP66 ingress protection ratings. Key features include a continuous perimeter gasket, full-width welded mounting brackets, and internal weld studs for panel or DIN rail mounting. Brass internal/external bonding provisions are standard for electrical safety. The enclosure supports a wide operating temperature range: -40°C to +70°C with standard polyurethane gaskets, or -55°C to +180°C with optional silicone gaskets.
