This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the ATEX382616SS61 enclosure, including mounting, wiring, and initial setup.

Estimated time: 45m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cable glands

  1. Mount the enclosure

Secure the ATEX382616SS61 enclosure to the designated mounting surface using the provided mounting screws. Ensure it is level and stable.

  2. Drill cable entry holes

  3. Install cable glands

Select appropriate cable glands for your application and install them according to the manufacturer's instructions. Ensure that sealing washers and locknuts do not interfere with the enclosure's gasket.

  4. Connect grounding

Connect the internal body grounding terminal to the equipment grounding connection. Use a UL listed ring connector for Class I, Zone 1 applications.

  5. Wire connections

Make the necessary wiring connections to the terminal blocks as determined during the end-use investigation. Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.

  6. Perform visual inspection

After completing the installation, visually inspect all gaskets, locks, and screws to ensure they are properly seated and secure.

  7. Calibrate and test

Power on the enclosure and perform any necessary calibration or configuration as per the device's operational requirements. Use a multimeter to verify electrical connections.
