Double sided electrical box mounting bracket for mounting to either side of a stud. It is made of pre galvanized steel with a stamped construction and silver color. Dimensions are 5 in. height, 6-7/8 in. width, and 3/8 in. depth. It is for use with 1-1/2 in. or 2-1/8 in. deep electrical boxes and 4 in. or 4-11/16 in. square boxes, with 2-1/2, 3-1/2, or 4 in. stud depth.
How to Install the AL36DR Padlocking Handle Kit
Instructions for installing a single-point or three-point padlocking handle kit on an enclosure door.

Drill, Measuring tape, Screwdriver, Pliers, Wire cutters
Supplies needed:
Padlocking handle kit components (latch rods, handle, gasket, screws, nuts, washers, spacers, etc.), Retaining rings, Roller pins
- Prepare the enclosure door
WARNING: To avoid electric shock, do not energize any circuits before all internal and external electrical and mechanical clearances are checked to assure that all assembled equipment functions safely and properly. Locate and drill holes in the enclosure door according to the dimensions provided in the documentation. For three-point kits, drill from the outside edges. Do not drill holes for the rod guides.
- Assemble handle components and select rotation stop
Select the appropriate latch rod stop for the desired handle rotation (clockwise or counter-clockwise). Assemble the handle parts and the selected latch rod stop as shown in the diagrams.
- Install the handle gasket and latch rods
Install the handle gasket on the outside of the door to ensure proper sealing. If the latch rods are too long for your enclosure, select the proper hole and cut the latch rods approximately 3/8 inch from the center of the desired hole. Be certain of the hole selection before cutting.
- Install roller pins and adjust latch position
Place the roller pin in the designated hole and secure it with the retaining ring. If gasket compression is too great, move the roller one hole at a time until proper gasket compression is achieved. Position the spacers for the correct location of the latch. Use the provided washers to adjust the position of the latch in or out as required.
- Final Assembly
Complete the assembly of the handle kit by securing all components with the provided screws, nuts, and locknuts as indicated in the diagrams.
