Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Nylon washers, Lockwashers, Nuts
- Mount the defeater
Secure the electrical interlock defeater to the enclosure door using the mounting screws. Ensure to place a nylon washer under the head of the switch, and use a lockwasher and nut on the inside of the door.
- Connect the wiring
Connect the wiring from the line or main disconnect to the defeater according to the wiring diagram. Ensure that the connections are tight and secure to prevent any electrical faults.
- Verify the installation
Before energizing the circuit, use a multimeter to check that all connections are correct and that there are no shorts. Ensure that all internal and external electrical and mechanical clearances are checked.
