Overview

The nVent AEK460 is a plated steel electrical interlock designed for 460VAC systems. Manufactured by nVent, it provides positive internal safety lockout on electrical enclosures while equipment remains energized, preventing unauthorized door opening. This interlock features rugged steel construction and a plated finish for durability, with solenoids rated for continuous duty. It is UL 508A Component Recognized and CSA Certified. The AEK460 is packaged complete with a solenoid assembly, strike plate or bracket, and installation instructions. Handles and latch mechanisms are not included. It is designed for use with standard Hoffman door latching mechanisms in various enclosure types, including two-door Type 4 and 12, Type 4X with 3-point latch, and free-standing Type 12 enclosures.
