How to Install the Swing-Out Rack Mounting Frame

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the Swing-Out Rack Mounting Frame in an enclosure.

Estimated time: 30m

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wrench

Supplies needed:

5/16−18x1 hex head screws, Lockwashers, Flat washers, Clamping nuts, Spacers, Plastic washers

  1. Install the bottom support assembly

Insert clamping nuts into the bottom channel of the enclosure. Attach the bottom support assembly using 5/16−18x1 hex head screws, lockwashers, and flat washers, placing spacers between the mounts and the bottom mounting channels. Adjust spacers as necessary to align the swing frame.

  2. Position the swing frame

Place a plastic washer over the pin on the bottom support. Position the swing frame onto the pin and place the top support onto the swing frame. Attach the top support to the top mounting channels using clamping nuts, spacers, 5/16 screws, lockwashers, and flat washers.

  3. Adjust the frame depth

Adjust the swing frame to the desired depth within the enclosure. If the swing frame will be heavily loaded, ensure that all spacers are placed on the pivot side at the bottom and the latch side at the top for optimal support.
