Overview

nVent A6R66NK is a Type 3R screw-cover drip-shield enclosure for outdoor electrical applications. 6x6x6-inch galvanized steel enclosure meets UL 50/50E and cUL Type 3R standards, providing protection against rain, sleet, snow, and dripping water per IEC 60529 IP32. Drip-shield top and seam-free sides prevent moisture pooling. ANSI 61 gray polyester powder coat finish resists corrosion indoors and out. 16-gauge galvanized steel construction. 2.25-inch mounting height, 1.06-inch mounting width. Screw-cover design uses plated steel screws along bottom edge for secure seal without gasketing. Embossed mounting holes on back allow direct attachment to struts or surfaces without vertical mounting structure. Optional mounting brackets (included) provide 1-inch clearance to prevent water pooling beneath enclosure. Ideal for outdoor junction boxes, control panels, and wiring applications. Used in industrial automation, telecommunications, water/wastewater treatment, outdoor lighting, and building management systems. No-knockout design enables custom cable entry via drilling or conduit fittings.
