How to Mount the A50MFKR Fiberglass Small Enclosure

Supplies needed:
Sealing washers, 1/4-20 screws, 1/4-20 nuts, Flat head machine screws, Square nuts, Conduit hubs
- Prepare for Mounting
Determine if you will be mounting directly or using mounting feet. If using mounting feet, ensure they are purchased separately. Note that sealing washers are included and required for all mounting methods to maintain enclosure integrity.
- Mount Directly (Without Feet)
Place sealing washers and 1/4-20 screws in the corner bosses of the enclosure. Align the screws with the mounting surface holes, feed them through, and secure with 1/4-20 nuts and washers. The bosses do not provide clearance for a wrench or socket.
- Mount with Feet
Place sealing washers and square nuts in the corner bosses of the enclosure. Insert flat head screws through the mounting feet, enclosure mounting holes, sealing washers, and square nuts. Tighten all fasteners. This method is mandatory for UL/CSA Type 3, 4, 4X applications.
- Install Conduit Hubs
When connecting conduit, use only UL-listed or recognized conduit hubs that match the enclosure's environmental type rating. Connect the conduit hubs to the conduit before attaching them to the enclosure.
- Drill for UL/CSA 3R Rating
To maintain a UL/CSA 3R rating, drill a 1/4" (6 mm) diameter hole on the bottom surface of the enclosure at the lowest point.
- Ground the Enclosure
WARNING: To avoid electric shock, grounding must be installed by the customer. Ground the enclosure in accordance with the National Electrical Code. Use grounding bushings for metallic conduit and ensure continuity for non-metallic conduit. Any device with a metal portion extending outside the enclosure must also be properly grounded.
