Overview

The nVent A484814HCT is a robust steel hinged cover cabinet designed for the protection of instrument current transformers (CTs) in transformer-rated watt-hour metering applications. Its durable construction and Type 3R rating ensure reliable outdoor protection against rain and sleet. This versatile enclosure also serves as a junction or service box for meters, transformers, relays, and terminal assemblies. Key features include a Dripshield top, seam-free sides, front, and back for enhanced weather resistance. The slip-on removable cover is secured with captivated plated steel screws, and the cabinet is equipped with integrated mounting studs and rear mounting holes for easy installation. Padlockable door handles provide added security. Constructed from 16, 14, or 12 gauge plated steel, it is finished with an ANSI 61 gray polyester powder paint on both the interior and exterior.
