Overview

The nVent NFAL Clamp-Cover Lightweight Enclosure (SKU: A1412NFAL) is a high-performance, Type 4X-rated aluminum enclosure designed for industrial environments where protection, durability, and ease of access are critical. Engineered with a brushed aluminum finish and a secure clamp-cover design, this enclosure provides superior defense against corrosion, dust, water ingress, and mechanical damage in both indoor and outdoor applications. The removable cover is secured on all four sides using stainless steel clamps and screws, ensuring a tight seal that meets NEMA Type 4X standards for outdoor use and harsh conditions. Weighing significantly less than traditional steel enclosures, the NFAL series reduces installation time and labor costs while maintaining robust protection for sensitive electrical and electronic components. This enclosure is ideal for a wide range of industrial applications, including control panels, junction boxes, sensor housings, and automation systems. It is particularly well-suited for use in chemical processing plants, water treatment facilities, food and beverage production, oil and gas installations, and renewable energy projects where exposure to moisture, chemicals, or extreme temperatures is common. The brushed aluminum construction not only resists corrosion but also provides excellent thermal conductivity, helping to dissipate heat from enclosed components. Additionally, the lightweight design simplifies mounting on walls, poles, or machinery, making it a versatile choice for retrofits and new installations alike. Professionals in industrial maintenance, electrical engineering, and automation rely on nVent’s reputation for quality and innovation when selecting enclosures for mission-critical applications. The NFAL series is part of nVent’s comprehensive portfolio of electrical and electronic protection solutions, trusted by engineers and technicians worldwide for its reliability and compliance with international standards. Installation is straightforward, with pre-drilled mounting holes and a modular design that accommodates various internal configurations. The Type 4X rating ensures the enclosure can withstand hose-directed water and prolonged exposure to outdoor elements, making it a dependable choice for unprotected environments. For applications requiring both protection and accessibility, the NFAL Clamp-Cover Enclosure stands out as a cost-effective, high-performance solution. Its combination of durability, lightweight construction, and ease of maintenance reduces downtime and extends the lifespan of enclosed equipment. Whether used in a manufacturing plant, a remote telecom site, or a harsh coastal installation, this enclosure delivers the performance and peace of mind that professionals demand. Choose nVent for enclosures that combine cutting-edge design with field-proven reliability.
