Overview

The exm 880 BD1 Pressure Compensation Breather Drain is a precision-engineered device designed to maintain optimal pressure equilibrium in industrial enclosures while effectively draining excess moisture. This dual-function breather drain prevents condensation buildup and protects sensitive electrical/electronic components from corrosion and moisture damage in hazardous locations. The device allows air exchange between the enclosure and atmosphere, minimizing pressure differentials that can compromise equipment integrity during temperature fluctuations. For Ex d-rated applications, it features a silicone O-ring with an operating range of -22°F (-30°C) to 302°F (150°C). Thread lengths are 10mm for Ex e and 16mm for Ex d models. The device must be installed at the lowest point of an enclosure for optimal drainage. Sold in convenient packs of 2 (SKU: 880 BD1), this breather drain is ideal for electrical control panels, junction boxes, and other enclosures requiring pressure compensation and moisture control in hazardous environments.
