The device allows air exchange between the enclosure and atmosphere, minimizing pressure differentials that can compromise equipment integrity during temperature fluctuations. Key specifications include Type 316 stainless steel construction with a nitrile O-ring for Ex e-rated applications, operating from -58°F (-50°C) to 185°F (85°C). For Ex d-rated applications, it features a silicone O-ring with an operating range of -22°F (-30°C) to 302°F (150°C). Thread lengths are 10mm for Ex e and 16mm for Ex d models. The device must be installed at the lowest point of an enclosure for optimal drainage. When properly installed, it maintains the enclosure’s UL Type rating.
