The F3 body size accommodates cable diameters from 12.70mm to 15.88mm (0.500" to 0.625"), ensuring a snug fit for flexible cords without excessive compression or damage. Constructed from durable nylon, the cord grip resists impact, corrosion, and harsh chemicals, making it ideal for continuous use in wet, dusty, or chemically aggressive environments. The integrated rubber grommet provides a liquid-tight seal, preventing water, dust, and contaminants from entering the enclosure. This seal also reduces cord pull-out force by up to 50%, protecting connections from mechanical stress and extending cable lifespan. When paired with the correct O-ring and locknut (sold separately), the 5634M achieves a NEMA 6P rating for submersion and extreme weather resistance. Without these accessories, it still delivers a NEMA 3R rating, protecting against falling rain and sleet. The grommet is color-coded (F3 size) for easy identification and is formulated to maintain sealing integrity across a wide temperature range (-40°C to 105°C).
