The Woodhead Safeway® Single Corrosion Resistant Receptacle (SKU 4976CR) is a heavy-duty industrial-grade receptacle designed for 3-phase, 480V applications requiring a 3-pole/4-wire configuration. Engineered for harsh environments, this NEMA L16-30 rated receptacle features a corrosion-resistant construction with a NEo-TEX® Paracril OZO rubber body and a rugged nylon Safeway® outer housing, ensuring superior performance against abrasion, chemical exposure, and extreme temperatures (operating range: -40°C to 75°C). The nickel-plated brass plug blades and connector contacts deliver enhanced conductivity and corrosion resistance, while the floating blade construction provides self-alignment for a secure mechanical and electrical connection that minimizes wear and heat generation. The receptacle includes color-coded ¼" terminal screws pre-set in the open position for quick wiring, tri-drive wire screw terminals compatible with straight blade, Phillips, and square-drive screwdrivers, and a transparent wiring guide to verify proper wire strand placement before securing. A two-piece cord-clamp strain relief with tri-drive screws ensures firm cord retention, and captive stainless steel speed screws simplify assembly while extending service life. With a maximum temperature rise of 30°C at full rated current and UL File No. E10176/CSA File No. LR6837 certification, the 4976CR is ideal for manufacturing plants, construction sites, and other demanding industrial settings where reliability and durability are critical. Compatible with Woodhead’s Super-Safeway™ and Safeway® plug/connector systems, this receptacle supports wire ranges from 0.425" to 1.150" and is distributed by Gross Automation.
