The Woodhead® 454CR (SKU: 454CR) is a robust, corrosion-resistant FD box engineered from high-strength, non-conductive glass-filled polyester. This enclosure is designed for wet industrial duty and harsh environments, offering superior protection for electrical components. It features two pre-threaded 1-inch (25.40mm) knock-out openings, facilitating quick and flexible conduit installation. Reducers for ¾" and ½" conduit are available separately, providing compatibility with multiple conduit types. The deep box design offers 30% more internal capacity than standard FS boxes, accommodating complex wiring configurations. All metal hardware, including mounting plates and threaded inserts, is constructed from stainless steel to ensure stable anchor points and long-term corrosion resistance. The enclosure boasts NEMA 4, 4X, 12P, and IEC IP66 ratings, guaranteeing protection against water ingress, dust, and corrosive atmospheres. A dynamically vulcanized thermoplastic (TPV) gasket creates a watertight and dust-tight seal between the frame and box. For enhanced safety and compliance, a pre-installed 12 AWG stranded copper grounding wire (8" long) is included. The bright yellow color improves visibility for safety and maintenance. Operating temperature range is -29°C to +60°C.
