Overview

The Woodhead 430C5W is a 30 Amp, 3-pole/4-wire Watertite® Pin & Sleeve Connector for industrial use in wet or dusty environments. It has a black Type G nylon housing rated for 600V AC and meets IP67 standards for water and dust resistance. The connector features solid brass pins and sockets for high conductivity and minimal resistance. Self-adjusting split contact sleeves with nickel-plated steel springs maintain constant pressure and electrical continuity, preventing heat buildup and ensuring reliable grounding. Key features include deadfront construction for safety, a latching mechanism to prevent accidental disengagement, and keyway alignment for fast, accurate mating. Internal and external strain relief protects cables from stress and damage. Large, identified terminals accommodate various conductor sizes, and an "Onion Ring" Neoprene bushing secures different cable sizes. The flip lid provides convenient access and secure closure. It complies with IEC 309-1 and 309-2 international standards and meets Section 410-56(g) of the National Electrical Code.
