The Woodhead Safeway® Wire Mesh Grip (SKU: 36551) is a galvanized steel mesh strain relief grip engineered for secure cable connections in industrial environments. Designed to accommodate cable diameters from 10.16mm to 14.22mm (0.400" to 0.560"), this straight male wire mesh grip features a single weave mesh construction with aluminum crimp for durability. The crimped eye tabs install between wiring device cord clamp pieces, ensuring a tight, corrosion-resistant hold that minimizes cable slippage and enhances operational safety. Compatible with Safeway wiring devices and Super-Safeway outlet boxes with strain relief clamps, this grip reduces stress from cord arc bends and prevents pull-out from wiring devices. Its galvanized steel mesh provides excellent strength and flexibility, ideal for applications with pulling forces, bending stresses, or environmental exposure. The eye dimension of 1 11/16" offers ample clearance for secure attachment to hooks or brackets. This strain relief grip distributes the weight of vertical or sloping cable runs, metal rods, tubing, or hoses over its entire length, preventing localized damage and extending cable lifespan. The indoor-rated grip meets CSA File No. LR32159 standards. For higher corrosion resistance, the mesh can be upgraded to stainless steel.
