Overview

The Woodhead Watertite® Connector (SKU: 29W49MB) is engineered for superior performance and reliability in demanding industrial environments, particularly in wet locations. This connector features a NEMA L7-30 configuration, rated for 277V and supporting a 2 pole/3 wire (2P+G) grounding configuration. Its robust construction utilizes NEo-TEX® Paracril OZO rubber for the outer housing and grommet, nickel-plated brass for plug blades and connector contacts, and Lexan* for the receptacle coverplate and closure caps. The integrated locking blade mechanism ensures a secure and dependable connection, preventing accidental disconnections. A single flip coverplate provides convenient access for mating and unmating while protecting the contacts when not in use. Key features include a multiple seal plug/connector interface that resists vapor and water from high-pressure washdowns up to 1000psi. Terminal screws are color-coded, ¼" tri-drive, and preset in an open position for easy wiring. The floating blade construction offers self-alignment for improved mechanical and electrical connection, minimizing wear and heat generation. A transparent wiring guide aids in verifying wire strand placement. The captive, tri-drive head, stainless steel speed screw ensures easy assembly and longevity. A three-piece strain relief seals the cord without damage. This connector is UL recognized (Plug and Connector—E10176, Receptacle—E68122) and CSA certified (LR6837). It is suitable for applications requiring dependable and safe electrical connections in harsh conditions, such as generators, heavy machinery, and power distribution systems. The body size for the cord grip is F3 ¾".
