Overview

The Woodhead Watertite® Connector (SKU: 27W82) is a 4-pole/5-wire, NEMA L22-20 rated plug and connector designed for 3-phase 480V applications in harsh industrial environments. This F3 cord grip body size connector features a locking blade design for secure, tamper-resistant connections, ideal for wet locations and high-pressure washdowns up to 1000psi. The nickel-plated brass blades and contacts ensure long-term corrosion resistance, while the NEo-TEX® Paracril OZO rubber grommet provides superior sealing against water, dust, and contaminants. Compatible with NEMA 1, 3, 4, 4X, 5, 6, 6P, and 12 standards, it meets IP55 to IP67 environmental ratings for reliable operation in extreme conditions. The connector includes color-coded ¼" terminal screws preset in the open position, tri-drive wire screw terminals for compatibility with multiple screwdriver types, and a floating blade construction for self-alignment and reduced wear. Stainless steel face screws and a nylon wire saddle clamp enhance durability, while the Lexan® face insert and closure caps provide impact resistance. Rated for a maximum continuous operating temperature of 75°C and a minimum of -40°C, the 27W82 is NSF/ANSI/3-A 14159-1 certified for food and beverage processing applications. UL File No. E10176 and CSA File No. LR6837 ensure compliance with North American safety standards.
