Overview

The Woodhead Safeway® Connector with Locking Blade, SKU 27T10, is engineered for robust and reliable electrical connections in industrial settings. This 4-pole, 5-wire configuration supports a maximum continuous operating voltage of 600V, making it suitable for a broad spectrum of power distribution and machinery applications. Its Non-NEMA rating ensures compatibility across various international standards, while the F4 cord grip body size accommodates cable diameters from .425" to 1.150", providing a secure and durable connection. The locking blade mechanism enhances safety by preventing accidental disconnections, a critical feature in high-vibration or dynamic environments. Constructed with a NEo-TEX® Paracril OZO rubber outer housing and grommet, this connector offers superior resistance to abrasion, chemical exposure, and extreme temperatures, operating effectively between -40°C and 75°C. Nickel-plated brass is used for plug blades and connector contacts, ensuring excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. Face screws are stainless steel for longevity, and the wire saddle clamp is brass. The internal floating blade construction promotes self-alignment, leading to better mechanical and electrical connections and minimizing wear and heat generation. A transparent wiring guide facilitates proper wire placement before securing, and captive, tri-drive head stainless steel speed screws simplify assembly and ensure long service life. The three-piece strain relief design seals the cord without causing damage. This connector meets stringent environmental standards with IEC ratings up to IP67 and NEMA ratings up to NEMA 6P, making it suitable for wet locations and high-pressure washdowns.
