Its construction utilizes NEo-TEX® Paracril OZO rubber for the outer housing and grommet, ensuring resistance to harsh chemicals and extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to a maximum continuous 75°C. The plug blades and connector contacts are made of nickel-plated brass for durability, while stainless steel face screws and a brass wire saddle clamp contribute to its robust build. The Lexan* receptacle coverplate and closure caps provide additional protection. This connector meets stringent environmental ratings including NEMA 1, 3, 4, 4X, 5, 6, 6P, and 12, as well as IEC ratings of IP55, 56, 57, 65, 66, and 67, making it suitable for wet locations and high-pressure washdowns up to 1000psi. The F2 body size cord grip offers superior strain relief, preventing wire damage and ensuring a secure connection under physical stress. Temperature rise is limited to a maximum of 30°C at full rated current after 50 cycles of overload at 150% of rated current with a 75% power factor. The tri-drive wire screw terminals are compatible with straight blade, Phillips, and square-drive screwdrivers, and floating blade construction ensures self-alignment for optimal mechanical and electrical connections. A transparent wiring guide aids in verifying wire placement.
