The MSD sine wave filter is compatible with 240V, 480V, and 600V 3-phase systems configured to Volts per Hz.

The MotorShield supports current ratings of 5-248 Amps at 240V, 5-1080 Amps at 480V, and 8-500 Amps at 600V. It can handle an intermittent overload current of 150% for 1 minute out of every 60 minutes.

The filter converts the PWM carrier frequency from a VFD into a clean voltage waveform, protecting motors from voltage spikes that can cause insulation breakdown and motor failure.

The device operates from -30°C (-22°F) to 40°C (104°F). Cooling provisions are required for operation above this temperature range.

The MotorShield sine wave filter supports VFD carrier frequencies from 2 kHz to 16 kHz.

The MotorShield is suitable for lead lengths up to 15,000 feet.

The filter causes a 3% voltage drop at nominal voltage, frequency, and rated current.

The device can operate up to 6,600 ft (2,000 m), with derating required for operation above this level.
