T25 Torx bit, 15mm socket wrench, Screwdriver

Supplies needed:

Countersunk Torx screws, M10 Hex screws, Equipment Rail Mount Nuts, Shims

  1. Remove existing front rails

    Use a T25 Torx bit to remove the existing screws and take out the front equipment rails from the cabinet posts.

  2. Install front equipment rails

    Attach the new front equipment rails to the front cabinet posts using 5 countersunk Torx screws per rail. Use shims as necessary to ensure proper EIA spacing.

  3. Install rear equipment rail mounting brackets

    Secure 4 equipment rail mounting brackets to the installed equipment rails using 3 countersunk Torx screws per bracket, ensuring the countersunk holes are oriented correctly.

  4. Fasten equipment rail mount nuts

    Locate the desired position for the equipment rail and insert 2 equipment rail mount nuts through the slots of the front-to-back beam. Fasten with M10 hex screws at the top and bottom, tightening to 30.0 +/- 5.0 N-m.
