The NSI Industries AL400-48 is a high-conductivity aluminum compression lug designed for reliable electrical connections. Manufactured from premium aluminum tubing, this lug ensures excellent conductivity and durability. It features a standard barrel design with a 1/2" bolt size, accommodating 400 MCM conductors. The center stop is engineered to guarantee proper cable installation, preventing over-insertion and ensuring a secure connection. For enhanced corrosion resistance, the AL400-48 is electro-tin plated, making it suitable for demanding environments. Each lug is clearly marked with its die index and color-coded for quick and easy identification, simplifying the crimping process and reducing potential errors. This compression lug is UL Listed for 35kV maximum when properly installed according to cable manufacturer specifications, providing a high-voltage capability for critical applications. It is also cULus Listed and UL486A/B Listed for wire connectors, meeting stringent industry safety standards. The temperature rating is 90°C, and it is dual-rated for AL9CU applications. Recommended crimp tools include the NSI N1240 and N121D. The voltage rating is 600V max, with a 2000V max rating per UL486B.
