The NSI Industries ZTL124BK is a Zero-Cross Fail-On TurnLock Photocontrol designed for robust and reliable dusk-to-dawn lighting control. Engineered with advanced microprocessor-controlled ZERO-CROSS Switching Technology, this photocontrol effectively manages the high inrush currents characteristic of modern LED luminaires, ensuring longevity and consistent performance. Its superior light sensing capabilities are driven by a molded, sealed IR-filtered, non-drifting silicon sensor, calibrated to precisely mimic human eye response for accurate activation. The ZTL124BK offers enhanced surge protection with a 510 Joule MOV component, safeguarding both the photocontrol and connected LED luminaires against unpredictable line voltage spikes. Built for demanding environments, it features a UV-stabilized polycarbonate housing and window, coupled with conformal coated electronics, providing maximum protection against extreme weather and moisture. The integrated industrial-strength DC relay, UL Listed and employing positive snap-action technology, virtually eliminates contact bounce for secure switching cycles. This unit operates within a wide voltage range of 105-305V AC and is rated for 1000W Tungsten, 1800VA Ballast (1000VA cUL), and 8A Electronic Ballast (LED) or 2220W @ 277VAC. The Turn-On level is set at 1.5 foot candle with an OFF/ON ratio of 1.5:1. It includes a delayed OFF response to prevent false switching from transient light sources. Backed by a 15-year limited warranty, the ZTL124BK is tested and certified to meet UL and CSA Photocontrol standards, as well as the ANSI C136.10-2010 American National Standard for Roadway and Area Lighting Equipment. Its black lid provides a discreet aesthetic for various installations.
