The unit incorporates a UL Listed industrial-strength DC relay with positive snap-action technology to prevent contact bounce and ensure secure switching cycles. Constructed with a UV-stabilized Polycarbonate housing and window, and featuring conformal coated electronics, the ZSS480 offers maximum protection against extreme weather elements and moisture. It is tested and certified to meet UL and CSA Photocontrol standards, as well as the ANSI C136.10-2010 American National Standard for Roadway and Area Lighting Equipment. The ZSS480 provides an instant ON response and a 3-second delayed OFF response, preventing false switching from transient light sources like vehicles. With a 15-year limited warranty and rated for over 15,000 ON/OFF operations, this photocontrol is built for long-term performance in roadway, area, parking, flood, and security lighting fixtures. Its ON/OFF turn-on level is 1.5 foot candle +/-0.2, with an OFF/ON ratio of 1.5:1 average. The operating temperature range is -40°F to +140°F (-40°C to +60°C). SKU: ZSS480.
